The
Professional Association of Diving Instructors is the world´s
largest scuba diving training organisation. PADI qualifications are
recognised worldwide.
Courses
are available at every level from absolute beginner to instructor.

Looking
at the flow chart for the PADI system of diver education one might conclude
that its purpose is to take you to Master Scuba Diver or Open Water
Scuba Instructor. But
that is not it at all.
Apart
from achieving satisfaction or a career in scuba diving, the purpose
is to provide a means to 1. meet new diving friends, 2. go places diving,
and 3. do things underwater.
Junior Open Water Diver:
Entry level certification to 12 metres for 10 and 11 years old and 18
metres 12 years and over. Includes confined water training sessions,
self study and open water dives. Duration 3/4 days.
Scuba Diver: Entry
level certification to 12 metres. Includes confined water training sessions,
self study and open water dives. Duration 2/3 days.
Open Water Diver:
Entry level certification to 18 metres. Includes confined water training
sessions, self study and open water dives. Duration 3/4 days.
Open
Water Referral: Complete the confined
water training in a local swimming pool, self study in the comfort
of your own home and do the open water dives here in sunny Tenerife.
Advanced
Open Water: Certification to 30
metres. Five open water dives; deep and navigation are compulsory
with three elective dives from a selection list. Duration 2/3 days.
Rescue
Diver: Expand your knowledge and experience
beyond purely recreational level. Look beyond yourself and consider
the safety and wellbeing of other divers. Although a serious course,
it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence. Duration 3 days.
Emergency
First Response: Gives you the tools you need to perform CPR and
First Aid, whether you are a diver or a non-diver. EFR prepares you
to properly handle potentially life threatening situations. Duration
1 day.
Master Scuba Diver: Top of the PADI recreational
ladder and a fantastic achievement showing commitment to safety by obtained
the Rescue diver and a varied experience of diving circumstances having
completed 5 PADI diver specialities.
Divemaster: Take the first step in your dive career.
You´ll expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills as you
become a professional. Divemaster training develops your leadership
abilities by training you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors
with student divers.
There
are also a number of specialty courses available including enriched
air (Nitrox), wreck, deep, photography and night dives.
